Education For Change

In the future I hope to become an educator for disadvantaged youth. My particular passion is the education of Australian Indigenous students. This particular group of the population are not afforded the same opportunities as the rest of Australians. Education in Australia is grounded in Western principles and is not culturally responsive. There are systemic issues that need to be addressed but I would like to be involved in a more grassroots approach. I would like to develop alternative educational programs for Indigenous students.

Technology can be an empowering educational tool if used appropriately. Exploring various forms of technology this semester has equipped me with new skills that I can implement in my future classrooms. I hope you enjoy exploring my website that follows my journey towards digital proficiency!!
